Amoreiras Shopping Center was the first commercial center of the country and, in a single space, it has more than 200 national and international brands. Its location allows easy access to the main points of the city such as Marquês de Pombal, five minutes by car, and Lisbon Airport, only 20 minutes away.
Coin
In Portugal, the currency in force is the euro. Payments can be made in cash, by bank transfer and debit or credit cards from all national and international banks.
There are coins of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents, but also 1 and 2 euros. The notes vary in size and color according to their value, and there are 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 euros.
Tourist Office
In Lisbon there are tourist offices throughout the city, these are places of reference for tourists where they can get information and directions on places to visit. The “Ask Me” spaces are present in strategic locations such as Lisbon Airport, Jerónimos Monastery (Belém), Santa Apolónia Station, Foz Palace (Praça dos Restauradores), Parque das Nações, Rossio, Terreiro do Paço and Torre de Belém.
Tax free
Customers from outside the European Union can benefit from Tax refund value up to 15% on standard VAT items at Amoreiras Shopping Center. You must fill out the form available at stores with Tax-Free service. Tax reimbursement can be obtained at NovaCâmbios store, located on 1st floor. Documents to provide: passport, the receipts from the purchases made on the same day (at Nova Câmbios, the minimum purchase amount is €100 per invoice) and credit card. When leaving the EU, you will have to demonstrate that you are carrying the goods in your personal luggage.
